A good motocross jersey looks good, feels good, and doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg. The best way to determine if your motocross jersey is the best for you is to ask a friend what they think.

Ok you can just ask a friend to model one for you. Here’s a few examples just for you.

The Amazing Supercross Season Continues to Surprise

The Toronto Supercross once again dazzled the fans of AMA’s top motocross series. After numerous podium finishes Ryan Dungey finally won a main event! Dungey was finally able to shake off the 800 pound gorilla off of his back. Dungey won with all the top riders in the field and healthy.

Chad Reed has taken over the points lead over Villopoto by 3. Reed who created his own Two-Two Motorsports team after he was without a ride for 2011 has shocked all the top factory riders. Just 3 weeks ago it looked like Villopoto was going to win the season championship by just getting top 5  finishes every week. Now Villopoto is in 2nd with all the pressure on him to return to his winning ways.

James Stewart also needs a good run. After a number of crashes “Bubba,” finds himself in 4th place in the season points. Most weekends Stewart is the fastest bike on the track. Just finishing a race without going down would give Stewart a podium finish.

The best dirt bike gear of the AMA Supercross Series moves next to Arlington, Texas for more of the craziest and most competitive season in motocross. Who will be leading the points after Texas? Dungey, Villopoto, Dungey? Let us know what you think.

Global Rallycross

The new Global Rallycross Series staged its first event in Irwindale California this past weekend. The event drew in top rally drivers like Tanner Foust, Rhys Millen, and Marcus Gronholm.

The Friday event featured the 5 wide action of Super Rally similar to the X Games. 5 cars ran head to head on a track that included dirt, tarmac, and gravel surfaces. Of course there was also the Joker Jump. A 70 foot wide gap that each car had to jump at least once during the event. Rally Cross and Super Rally are quickly becoming motocross for cars, without the motocross jerseys of course.

Although Global Rallycross is just beginning, I’m sure this sport will continue to gain popularity over the next 12 months. Next event for Global Rallycross is in Washington state. Check it out!

Kyle Busch won the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series race this weekend at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Busch has now won 5 straight races at Bristol including 2 Cup Races, 2 Nationwide Races, and 1 Truck Race.

Although we cannot say that Kyle Busch used to sport motocross gear in his early years of his career, we can pay respect to pure domination at one of the toughest race tracks in the world.

Hart Huntington rider Ivan Tedesco had a much better weekend in Jacksonville. Carey Hart’s new team sponsored by Dodge has always showed competitive times on the track but have lacked results.

Tedesco finished 6th and ran hard all night. Chris Blose also had a top 10 finish. Long time Carey Hart fans can’t wait to see a Hart Huntington motocross jersey on the podium very soon.

Hart Huntington LOORS team also ran this weekend in Arizona. Stay tuned for results.

KTM Improving

2011 is the first year that KTM has had Roger DeCoster as their team boss. DeCoster is tasked with building the KTM factory team into a AMA Supercross power house. The bike of choice is the KTM 350SX. This weekend’s AMA Supercross at Jacksonville Florida proved that KTM is on their way to being a contender.

KTM rider Mike Alessi got the hole shot in his heat race and in the main event. Alessi also finished the main in the top 10. KTM rider Andrew Short finished the main in the top 5. Good progress has been made by team KTM. Soon they will be competing for wins. Don’t be surprised when you see the KTM dirt bike gear on the top step of the podium.

The Best Supercross Season Ever

We started wrting last week that Ryan Villopoto has nearly wrapped up the 2011 Supercross Championship. This week he did not even make the main event! The Jacksonville Supercross seemed to be everything that you thought would never happen this season.

Villopoto now holds a small 7 point lead over Chad Reed with Dungey 18 points down in third. The season is now wide open.

Can Villopoto recover and build another point cushion in the final races? Can James Stewart get his finishing results back to standard?

The only thing that is guaranteed is that this is the best AMA Supercross season ever. Stay tuned to Off Road Accessory Review.com for updates on this season. For the best in motocross gloves, check us out on ProBikeHelmets.com!

Boring Racing

Both the IRL and NASCAR are looking for ways to make their racing more exciting. Especially to the 18-35 generation. Both sanctioning bodies struggle with the shortening attention span of the average America. A 2 to 4 hour race is not for everyone. With the standard of a race in either division at 300-500 miles, people can lose interest. Even long term fans are just tuning in for the final 50 laps rather than watching the whole race or buying a ticket.

Off-Road racing like motocross and trophy trucks have the opposite. The races are short and really exciting. You can hardly take your eyes off action without missing something. Trucks bounce off each other every lap and fly through the air 5 -10 times per lap. Same thing in motocross. Motocross helmets are tested in every race as riders lose control and bash handle bars.

So what can NASCAR and the IRL do? Well they can’t throw a jump on the front stretch, and they can’t logically shorten the races. The 500 mile format is to test the durability of the equipment. A quick 100 lap sprint would not test the vehicle’s engineering as much as 500 miles. So the only thing these 2 sports can do is work within their bounds which both of them have tried with rule changes in 2010 and 2011.

So whats left to do to make these 2 forms of racing more exciting? Only 2 things; 1. Build unique tracks, 2. Make the cars more diverse. Especially in NASCAR there are too many tracks that are nearly identical. For weeks the viewer sees the same type of racing that only the expert fan can appreciate. Making the cars in both series more diverse is needed. Most 18-35 year old don’t drive Impalas or Fusions, and the casual fan couldnt tell the difference between the makes on the track anyway. Lots of fans drive Subarus, Nissans and other small cars. The fan can’t connect with a car they don’t know anything about. In the IRL, if you don’t like Honda you wont be interested. For years all the cars were powered by Honda and the cars were virtually the same in every way. This is why Rally, Drifting, and Tour Car racing is gaining popularity. Cars used in these events are easily recognizable and more commonly driven by the average fan.

NASCAR and IRL will need to put a lot of hard work in to correct these problems. Attracting action sports athletes like Travis Pastrana and Brain Deegan to NASCAR and IRL may help the sports for now.

Rally and Drift stand out Tanner Foust is becoming one of the most popular spokesman for motorsports today. Foust is on the cutting edge of the sport by being part of some of the newest and most exciting motorsports. Foust is a previous Formula Drift Champion and a Super Rally competitor. Foust has become an analyst on the excitement level of racing’s top divisions and how to engage the 18-35 crowd into motorsports.

Tanner Foust is also the host for multiple Speed Channel TV shows, and appeared on Wind Tunnel this week. Tanner is like Ryan Seacrest, he has 1000 jobs and does them all pretty well. Foust will be looking for X Games Gold once again this summer when the best extreme sports athletes compete for world recognition. 2011 will be a big year for Foust, look for Tanner and his off road helmets at a Rally course near you.
